Happening in Harlem: Politicians Not Responding to From The G-Man Interview Requests

After repeated efforts to obtain interviews, From The G-Man has not received responses from any of the elected officials that represent Harlem. The independent news and information site contacted the offices at the request of constituents who are deeply concerned about a myriad of issues impacting New York and the country. “What the hell is going on? They have time to appear on all of the mainstream media outlets, but they won’t give time to a news outlet that’s been operating in our community for over a decade? Make it make sense,” said a resident of the Frederick Samuel Apartments, who asked that their name not be published. 

Members of the community, including a former member of the 32nd Precinct Community Council, informed From The G-Man that many of the elected officials have cozy relationships with certain newspaper publishers and online personalities in the area. “The way From The G-Man and The G-Man Interviews are being treated may be intentional,” said the former community council member. “People who follow the site know that it doesn’t pull punches with its reporting and is willing to not only ask the hard questions, but hold those in power accountable. Too many people in Harlem, in and outside of the media, are willing to play the game in order to gain favor with elected officials, do their bidding, or become part of their cliques. From The G-Man and The G-Man Interviews pose a major threat to anyone that’s disingenuous or has something to hide, and that may be the reason why none of the elected officials have responded,” they concluded.

The news office has no answers for the way it’s being treated. The only thing From The G-Man knows is that it will continue to serve the Harlem community, as well as communities across the country, and do its best to uphold ethics, honor and integrity in journalism.
