Justice Department News Conference on Combating Health Care Fraud

At Justice Department headquarters, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche announced a takedown of alleged health care fraud, including in Medicaid, Medicare, and other programs. He said, “This announcement marks the greatest combined federal and state effort in combating health care fraud in history,” and announced the government had charged 455 people in just two weeks for alleged fraud totaling $6.5 billion. He was joined by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., FBI Director Kash Patel, and several other officials.
