True news is essential to the population so that we know what is truly going on. Thank you for your reporting. I always learn something that helps me put the world around me into perspective, even if it scares or irritates me. I trust it.
With the spread of white supremacists, we see a rise in the resistance to Black people and immigrant existence in this country. With a large majority of poorly educated persons, educated in the way of critical thinking, far too many swallow the hype that this is a country that strives for equality, a country built by white people that others are trying to destroy. In this new era of oppression, we witness over 70 million voters in favor of this new world order, where lies become the new truths, and those 70 million voters who voted for this remain fearful of an equality that might displace their privilege and force them to be participatory. I would say that this gives rise to and empowers the ignorant racist factions who have become the self-ordained keepers of the way. A way that attempts to deny access to all others, especially Black people, who may threaten their way of life.
Mainstream news that force-feeds images of Black children shooting each other, and negative images. How often does that same news show those Black and immigrant scientists like my daughter, or Black engineers that work at NASA like my son, or all of the other outstanding but less than publicized achievers and achievements? Distorted so-called news, by miseducated and the misguided who also have limited knowledge of Black and immigtrant amazing contributions to this country and the world. The lack of true reportage, balanced news, allows those 70 million misguided, iand unknowing, to turn their heads the other way as ICE or white supremacist, and the ignorants to participate in what may be the end of USA civilization or should I say the interruption of civilization that was barely there in the first place.
