Keepin’ It Reel: Scene from ‘A Face in the Crowd’ Perfectly Captures Trump the Grifter
Political/Social Commentary Through Vintage Videos
“A Face in the Crowd” was released in 1957 and directed by Elia Kazan. It stars Andy Griffith, Patricia Neal, Anthony Franciosa and Walter Matthau. Larry “Lonesome” Rhodes, portrayed by Griffith, becomes a powerful media star who becomes utterly corrupt and detestable during his meteoric rise.
Given the news reports that have been published about how Donald Trump, his family, and members of his administration continue to generate even greater wealth through their various roles, I think this scene perfectly sums up the situation.
This commentary is from the heart and…..from The G-Man.
