Slowing Down When Everything Speeds Up

By Jason Scianno, MSW, LCSW, LCAS
Hello all!
As the holidays approach, life tends to move faster — full of plans, people, and noise. It’s easy to forget that we can step outside the rush, even for a moment.
Take a breath.
Feel your feet.
Let yourself arrive.
This week, give yourself permission to slow down when things start picking up. Gratitude isn’t found in the big gestures — it’s in the quiet moments when we notice what’s already here.
I’ll be taking a short break next week — heading to Florida to rest, reconnect, and reset before the new year begins.
Wishing you a peaceful and grounded holiday season.
May you find stillness in the middle of the motion.
