FBI Director Kash Patel Testifies at Oversight Hearing
C-SPAN: FBI Director Kash Patel testified at an oversight hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee. He took questions on releasing the Epstein files–promising the FBI would “release everything we are legally permitted to do so,” his firing of senior FBI officials and their subsequent lawsuits, and his handling of the investigation into Charlie Kirk’s assassination, denying he made a mistake when he announced on social media in the immediate aftermath that a suspect was arrested who turned out to be innocent. Patel also denied testing FBI employees loyalty to him by means of polygraph tests and rejected suggestions that he fired FBI agents in retaliation for investigating cases related to President Trump.
