British, French & German Statement on Iran’s Non-Compliance with Nuclear Development Limits

C-SPAN: British Ambassador to the U.N. Barbara Woodward read a joint statement on behalf of the United Kingdom, France and Germany to the press at the United Nations regarding their assessment of Iran’s nuclear program. She said they “notified the security council that we believe Iran to be in significant non-performance of its commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.” Moreover, the ambassador said they found Iran had “increasingly and deliberately ceased performing almost all of its JCPOA commitments,” since 2019, and that the notification to the U.N. Security Council triggers a 30-day period for Iran to become compliant under their JCPOA obligations. If Iran does not become compliant, Ms. Woodward called on the U.N. to re-impose targeted sanctions against the country.
