ICYMI: White Supremacists, Neo-Nazis, and Trump Allies Call For Violence Against Immigrants and Protesters In Los Angeles

GPAHE: As the Trump administration continues its mass deportation operation, residents of Los Angeles are protesting Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) sweeps of their neighbourhoods, including in restaurants and retail shops. In response, far-right extremists and organizations across the country, including Trump’s political allies and white supremacists like the Proud Boys, are calling for violence against protesters, migrants, and journalists. They’ve demanded “kill these fuckers” and for Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act, which would authorize the military to use force against American citizens.

The protests, which began on June 6, prompted Trump to label protesters as “violent, insurrectionist mobs,” and claimed Los Angeles had been “invaded and occupied by illegal aliens and criminals.” Trump quickly, and without the request of California authorities, deployed 2,000 National Guard members to the city after the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) declared downtown LA an “unlawful assembly area” on June 8.
