Republican National Committee Announces Senior Leadership
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) announced senior staff hires, who have joined the RNC to ensure Republicans nationwide are equipped to Make America Great Again.
Chief of Staff, Mike Ambrosini
Ambrosini brings over a decade of political and operational expertise to the RNC. Most recently, he served as the Director of the RNC’s State Party Strategies. He also brings unmatched expertise from his days in the Trump White House, Congress, the private sector, and as Executive Director of the Michigan GOP.
Anyone who knows Ambrosini knows what an asset he is to Republican campaigns up and down the ballot nationwide. Mike is the perfect person to bring everyone to the table, navigate challenges, and implement a winning strategy.
Political Director, Rob Secaur
Secaur was a Deputy Political Director for the Trump Campaign in 2024, covering New York, Montana, and California, as well as responsibilities implementing the National Field Program. Previously, Secaur was a Regional Political Director for the RNC, covering states in the Midwest, including Ohio and Michigan.
Secaur brings extensive knowledge and understanding of campaigns and field operations. Prior to joining the RNC, Secaur had served on campaigns in battleground states across the country, in addition to working in various roles for the Ohio Republican Party and Michigan Republican Party.
Communications Director, Zach Parkinson
Parkinson is a strong communicator and one of the best research operatives around. Parkinson previously led key messaging and research efforts for the RNC. In the 2022 cycle, Parkinson served as the RNC Research Director and Deputy Communications Director, overseeing the committee’s opposition research and rapid response efforts.
Parkinson has worked in several capacities to support President Trump and his agenda, providing research for the Trump 2024 campaign, serving as Deputy Communications Director for the Trump 2020 campaign and working in communications and research roles at the White House from 2017 to 2019.
Finance Director, Mallory Gerndt
Gerndt has been an integral member of the RNC Finance Team since 2017. Throughout the 2024 election cycle, Gerndt served as the Deputy Finance Director for the RNC and was the Finance Director for the following committees, Nominee for Vice President and Trump 47 Committee. She has a reputation for setting and meeting fundraising goals to help deliver for President Trump’s America First agenda; including fundraising for Trump Victory and Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.
Data Director, Zach Imel
Imel brings deep experience to the RNC’s Data Division. Imel has served Republican campaigns in various political and data-driven capacities. In the 2024 cycle, Imel served as Director of External Data & Voter Contact for Team Trump, which assisted the political operation in executing its data-driven ground game and voter contact efforts.
Previously, Imel oversaw RNC data efforts during the 2022 and 2020 cycles — managing data in states spanning the mid-Atlantic, Great Lakes, and Southeast regions — before joining the RNC, Imel helped campaigns secure victory in his role as Ohio GOP Data Director.
Digital Director, Brent Brooks
Brooks has over a decade of digital marketing experience, helping Republican candidates and organizations secure victories at every level.
Since joining the RNC, Brooks has played a key role in raising millions of dollars and developing VotePro – a crucial app that empowered millions of Republican voters to get involved, take action, cast their ballots, and win in 2024.
State Party Strategies Director, Tom Smithfield
Smithfield previously served as State Party Strategies Deputy Director during the 2024 cycle and as Deputy National Field Director in 2022, working with campaigns to help shape field strategies nationwide.
In addition, Smithfield served as the Deputy State Director for Trump Victory in Pennsylvania in 2020 and for the Pennsylvania GOP in 2018, where he helped secure critical congressional wins. With a background in field operations and a history of political deployments, Smithfield brings extensive strategic expertise to his new role.
