Peace Corps Director Discusses the Indo-Pacific Region

C-SPAN: U.S. Peace Corps volunteers can continue to make positive impacts in the Indo-Pacific region despite relatively flat budgets, Peace Corps Director Carol Spahn told an audience at a discussion on the outlook for her agency hosted by the Center for Strategic and International Studies. She talked about the Peace Corps mission, and how the agency was returning to some of the most remote island nations it had once pulled out of. She also talked about the Peace Corps role in so-called soft diplomacy, and its volunteers more recent turn toward boosting science and technology education in some of its mission posts.
