Treasury Secretary Yellen on Multilateral Development Banks and the Global Economy

C-SPAN: Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen discussed the evolution of multilateral development banks (MDBs) at the World Bank Group’s annual meeting in Washington, DC. She then participated in a discussion with World Bank President Ajay Banga and Zambian Finance Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane. They discussed reforms the World Bank Group had undertaken to be more responsive to developing countries dealing with shared global challenges, such as climate change, pandemics, and geopolitical tensions. In addition to the World Bank, other MDBs include the Inter-American Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
