Eric Adams: The Man Who Will Be Responsible for Turning New York Red in November

You know what? I’m completely stunned that only six Democrats have called for Mayor Eric Adams to resign. It’s mind-boggling. It really is. Prominent Democrats like Senators Chuck Schumer and should be screaming for his head on a platter. I certainly would if I were an elected official. Forget the fact that he hasn’t been officially charged with a crime! Consider the optics and its impact on the Democratic Party, first and foremost!
Who’ll replace him if he bounces? That’s an even bigger question because his deputy mayors had their homes raided by the feds! Subsequently, other administration officials said…”Deuces!”…. and headed for the door. The fact that many New Yorkers don’t like Governor Hochul doesn’t help the situation. This is only going to get worse, so why aren’t a greater number of Democrats telling Adams….”You don’t have to go home, but you got to get the hell up outta here!” I can think of only one reason why? The November elections. They may feel too much is a stake for them to turn on each other, even if a colleague’s actions and members of his inner circle are being investigated by federal officials. The strategy is going to backfire in a major way, and New York is going to suffer the consequences.
I recently said something to two respected community activists, and I’m not changing my position. I think there are far more Trump supporters in the state of New York than most realize. For example, 85% of NYPD members vehemently support him. How do I know? This news site has reported on it, and credible and trusted sources within the department have told me nothing has changed.
Additionally, closet Trump supporters, conservatives and centrists are looking at the Adams administration, the F.B.I. raids and the defections and probably thinking….”These Democrats ain’t shit! They’re corrupt as hell and have to go!” You know who else is probably thinking that? Voters who identify as Independent. Like other voters in the state, the three groups are not happy. It is for these reasons that I predict New York will turn red in November, and “The Big Apple” could be THE state that gives “45” the victory. You heard it here, first! To hell with all the talk about so-called swing states. The pollsters and pundits were wrong in 2016, and they’ll be wrong in November. New York will be the political punch in the face that no one saw coming. Mark my words.
Truth be told, I really hope I’m wrong. However, the situation with the Adams administration and its political impact cannot and should not be ignored. If “Tang” takes New York, the Dems will have Adams and his scandal-plagued administration to thank for doing so.
I’m The G-Man, and I approved this commentary.
