From The G-Man: A Warning to Rupert Murdoch & His Heirs

Mr. Murdoch,
You’re on an extremely dangerous path, and you need to consider what will happen to the Murdoch legacy and name going forward. You’ve obtained a level of wealth that most can only dream of. You’ve built a media empire that would impress history’s greatest moguls. However, your power and wealth have clouded your judgment and caused you to dismiss the true meanings of ethics, honor and integrity. That is a key difference between you and I, Mr. Murdoch. You have enormous power and wealth, but you’ve hurt this country and its people with your media companies and their brand of journalism. I don’t have power or wealth and have struggled to keep my independent news site and podcast going for the last 15 years. Two weeks ago, I was on the verge of shutting them down for good because I couldn’t raise the money to pay for the private server they run on. Thankfully, one of my subscribers covered the charges because they absolutely love the site and podcast. Despite financial hardship, I’m managing to help hundreds-of-thousands by giving voice to the voiceless. Most importantly, and unlike you, I make sure I’m accurately and honestly telling their stories. More often than not, these people are from communities you probably don’t understand, care about, or never even visited. These people are from communities your media outlets and representatives probably don’t understand, care about, or never even visited. I want you and the heirs to your empire to think about that, Mr. Murdoch. I realize you may not even give a shit, but I’m still asking.
I want you to think about this as well. The universe is the great equalizer. You have everything a person could ever want and may never be held accountable for any hurt or pain caused by your media outlets or those employed at them. Would you like to know who will be held accountable? Your grandchildren and the children and grandchildren of those working at FOX News, the New York Post or other news outlets you own. I guarantee it, Mr. Murdoch, because the universe is the great equalizer. If you have no intention of using your media empire to unite the people of this country in effort to form a more perfect union, karma will come for you or your family members. If you’re too arrogant, malicious or stubborn to realize the extraordinarily good things you could do to make the lives of those who have nothing better, karma will come for you or your family members. If you love them as much as I suspect you do, don’t put them in that position because they don’t deserve it and it’s not right.
Let me be very clear. I have no regrets or reservations about anything I just said and never will. I don’t fear you or the power you wield, Mr. Murdoch. I don’t fear your family or army of lawyers. If you want to try and come at me for challenging you to be a fucking better man and media representative, I won’t run and will welcome the fight. I’ve never been afraid to throw stones at giants! You may pound on me like there’s no tomorrow, but I guarantee you I’ll get back up and come for more. That’s what newsmen of honor and integrity do!
I’ll conclude with this. If you want confirmation that the universe is the great equalizer, just look at how the lives of Harvey Weinstein, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Sam Bankman-Fried, and Peter Nygard, to name a few, have been completely transformed. They have power and wealth, but they also used it to control, destroy and manipulate. They probably believed or felt they were untouchable, but look at them now. Sadly, and unfortunately, they failed to realize the universe is the great equalizer and were completely caught off-guard when karma showed up. If you hear a tapping at your door in the wee hours, Mr. Murdoch, pay very close attention. It might be karma, so consider dedicating yourself and your empire to building bridges instead of destroying them.
