President Biden Says Arms Shipments Headed to Ukraine Within Hours of Signing Foreign Aid Package

C-SPAN: President Biden announces he has signed the $95.3 billion foreign aid package that the House passed over the weekend and that the Senate passed Tuesday night. The president says the law is an investment in the security of Ukraine, Europe and the U.S. He says that despite the protracted and difficult path of passing the legislation, the U.S. got the job done and he thanks those members of Congress who got it across the finish line. “It’s a good day for American, it’s a good day for Europe, it’s a good day for world peace,” he says. The president also says arms shipments will be on their way to Ukraine within hours so they can stay in the fight against the Russians, noting they have “the skill and the will to win.”
