House Republican & Democratic Leaders Hold News Conferences

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and said before he speaks to the president about Ukraine and funding the government, he is going to tell him, “We have to take care of our own house. We have to secure our own border before we talk about anything else.” The speaker and House Republicans briefly spoke with the press on policy priorities and budget negotiations from Capitol Hill.” On funding the government, the speaker said, “I wanted no more CRs until we can move forward. We have achieved that … this is a better agreement than we had.”
