Temujin Kensu: Is Michigan Ignoring Information That Could Overturn His Murder Conviction?

From the News Vault
(January 3, 2009)

In November 1986, college student Scott Macklem of Croswell, Michigan, was shot and killed in a college parking lot. Fingers quickly pointed to Scott’s fiance’s ex-boyfriend, Fredrick Freeman, who now goes by Temujin Kensu. The problem is that Kensu moved to Michigan’s upper peninsula over 400 miles away months before the murder. Moreover, as many as ten eyewitnesses placed him in Rock (or Escanaba, Michigan) hours before and after the murder.

In this special investigative report, Detroit Chanel 7 journalist Bill Proctor reviews the case against Kensu.
