Rain and Snow Across the Plains; Developing East Coast Storm This Weekend

The National Weather Service: A storm system will move across the Plains today with periods of rain and some snow; A few thunderstorms will be possible across the Southern Plains and lower Mississippi Valley later today into tonight. A develop storm in the Gulf of Mexico will track up the east coast this weekend. Heavy rain, strong winds and coastal impacts are expected. A Pacific system approaches the west coast next week.
