Reps. Comer & Jordan Hold News Conference Following Impeachment Inquiry Vote
C-SPAN: Reps. James Comer (R-KY), Jim Jordan (R-OH), and Jason Smith (R-MO), the respective chairs of the House Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means committees, held a news conference following the House voting along party lines, 221-212, to formally authorize an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. They said they will move forward with a contempt of Congress resolution against his son, Hunter Biden, for his refusal to comply with a subpoena to testify at a closed-door hearing from earlier in the day. They also outlined the next steps in the impeachment process.
