Sen. Tim Scott Speaks at Polk County, Iowa Republican Lincoln Dinner

The event was held on February 22.

C-SPAN: Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) was the keynote speaker at the annual Lincoln Dinner hosted by the Polk County Republicans in West Des Moines, Iowa. Before the dinner began, he met with guests at a VIP reception. He then spoke to those in attendance about his childhood in South Carolina, lessons learned from his elders, and the genesis of his conservative beliefs. Senator Scott hadn’t made any announcements on a run, but was considered to be a contender for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. In the days before this event, he began running digital ads in Iowa touting his political record. This was one stop on Senator Scott’s multi-day tour of Iowa, which was scheduled to hold the first Republican nominating contest of the 2024 cycle.
