Call for Applications: 2023 Small Business Reporting Fellowship

The Center for Community Media (CCM) at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY is pleased to announce the Small Business Reporting Fellowship for community media journalists based in the metro New York City area.
Investigative journalists from the sector will have the opportunity to cover the challenges and successes of community-owned businesses in the region as we reach three years since the start of the pandemic.
Fellows will be required to produce or publish/post in an established community media outlet three in-depth stories in line with the guidelines and under the mentorship of an editor. The stories can be written or a video or audio production. Participants must also attend remote fellowship-related trainings organized by CCM.
The fellowship will run from February 1 through May 15, 2023. Each fellow will receive a stipend of $2,500.
Deadline for applications: January 17, 2023
