Survivors of Club Q Shooting & Activists Testify on Anti-LGBTQ Violence

C-SPAN: Survivors of the Club Q mass shooting, activists, and others testified on the rise of anti-LGBTQ violence before the House Oversight and Reform Committee. Survivors of the shooting said hateful right-wing rhetoric was a contributing factor to the shooting. Republican members pushed back against this claim, saying crime in general across all sectors of society is the problem. The recent mass shooting occurred in the late evening of November 19, 2022, at the Club Q LGBTQ nightclub; five people were killed and dozens more were injured.
