The following statement was submitted by the multiple Emmy Award-winning actor and former “All My Children” star.

From November 10th to November 20th, Axial Theatre will be presenting “Never the Sinner” by John Logan at Bethany Arts Community in Ossining, NY.

I am directing and producing this piece, alongside other wonderful producers Steven Williford, Amanda Quinn Olivar, and Dan Walworth.

The play is based on the true story of Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb, two privileged youths from Chicago.

They had a fascinating, complex and passionate relationship that led to them executing multiple escalating crimes, ending in the murder of a young boy.

Called “The Crime of the Century” the murder made national headlines in 1924.

Clarence Darrow, one of the greatest lawyers of the time, was hired by the family to defend them. In a shocking twist, the boys pled guilty yet showed no remorse.
