Mike Pence on Direction of the Conservative Movement

C-SPAN: Georgetown students asked former Vice President Mike Pence why he did not denounce the violence on January 6 and if he will vote for Donald Trump if he runs for president in 2024. He replied, “The first thing I did was condemn the violence,” when Congress reconvened to certify the 2020 election results, after the attack on the U.S. Capitol. In regard to whether he will support Donald Trump in 2024 he said, “Well, there might be somebody else I prefer more.” These remarks occurred after he gave a speech about conservatism and politics, at an event hosted by the Georgetown Institute of Politics in Washington, DC.
