Mary McLeod Bethune Statue Dedication in National Statuary Hall

C-SPAN: An 11-foot tall marble statue of Mary McLeod Bethune, a civil rights and women’s rights advocate, is unveiled in National Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol, replacing one of Confederate General Edmund Kirby Smith in the Florida collection. The unveiling was held on July 13, 2022.
