President Biden Announces Increased Military Presence in Europe

C-SPAN: President Biden announced an increase in the U.S. military presence in Europe amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He made the remarks ahead of a meeting with the NATO secretary general at the beginning of a NATO summit in Madrid, Spain. The president said the U.S. would establish its first permanent presence in Poland, send two additional F-35 fighter jet squadrons to the UK and more air defense and other capabilities to Germany and Italy.
