Man Shot and Killed in Harlem, NYPD Seeking Information

The following statement was provided by Detective Christopher Rodrigo, Crime Prevention Officer for the 32nd Precinct in Harlem.
On May 20 at 11:52 p.m., 32nd Precinct officers responded to a Shotspotter activation call of shots fired in front of 2949 8th Avenue and Frederick Douglass Boulevard. When responding officers arrived, they observed a male Black shot twice, once in the arm and once in the upper thigh. Officers immediately rendered aid by applying a tourniquet. The male was removed to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
