Congregation Ner Tamid to Host Special Discussion on ‘MAUS’ Banning

Congregation Ner Tamid (CNT) will host Larry Kuperman for a timely Zoom discussion, MAUS: An Uncomfortable History – “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

On February 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. (PST), Kuperman will talk about the recent controversy caused by a Tennessee school board that voted unanimously to ban “Maus,” a Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic novel about the Holocaust, from being taught in classrooms.

Kuperman has written and delivered a series of presentations on the Jewish American experience for CNT and Jewish Nevada. He has also been a guest speaker for a number of Jewish organizations and recently appeared at Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre of Toronto.

Mr. Kuperman also volunteers for BeyondBarriersUSA, an organization dedicated to helping people leave extremist movements.
