From The G-Man has a message for DeSantis, other Republican governors, and local officials that intend to follow his lead. No matter how much legislation you draft or attempt to push, you will never be successful in your effort to hide the truth about Rosewood or any other area of the country that was a hotbed for hate. In case no one has told you, “Govie Dee,” we live in the digital age. People can investigate your state’s history of hate by simply logging on the Internet. You may be able to place restrictions on public schools and private businesses, but you won’t be able to do a damn thing if students or employees decide to jump online and conduct research in the privacy of their own homes. Did you consider that? From The G-Man seriously doubts it because if you had, you would have realized how asinine your bill really was. Oh! Here another crucial point, so pay attention! Your bill is called “Individual Freedom,” right? Well, you better brace for impact because those seeking the truth about Florida’s (or America’s) history of racial discord and injustice will probably exercise their individual freedom…. by ignoring your ass and silly legislation.
