In the Bronx: Phipps Neighborhoods & Foodstream Farmers Markets Promote Food Justice

Families gathered on November 12 for the Phipps Neighborhoods’ Pop-Up Farmers Market, which was hosted at its affiliated site, Phipps Houses, in West Farms and Crotona Park.
Phipps Neighborhood’s Fall Food Justice Farmers Markets have served more than 1,200 Bronx families with 18,000 pounds of healthy, local Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC)-grown produce and food. The series aims to address food insecurity and the lack of nutritious food available in Community District 6 in the Bronx.
