Leaders of Tomorrow: Gino Sherman

From The G-Man is proud to announce the relaunch of a special news feature that was created in 2012 called “Leaders of Tomorrow”. The series showcases young people from across the country that are making a tremendous difference in their communities or abroad. That said, allow us to introduce you to Gino Sherman.
Sherman, 14, is an 8th grade student at Warren Woods Middle School in Michigan. On May 26 of this year, he competed in the Macomb Area Middle School Track District Championships and finished second in the 1600 meters run and 4 x 200 (800) meters relay. Sherman is trained by coaches Gulick, Kaferie and Koshko.

“I decided to run track as a way of conditioning for football. I had no idea I would like it, but I did,” said Sherman. “In the future, I hope to be a record-breaker for the 1600 meters.” The young runner also has aspirations of becoming a professional streamer/gamer and is very serious about the endeavor. His gaming sessions can be viewed on Twitch.
According to his mother, the track and field sensation is a straight “A” student and has consistently made the honor roll. “I am very proud of Gino. His work in sports and academics is a constant source of pride and joy to me as his mother,” said Acacia Dietz. I have no doubt that he will continue to achieve whatever he chooses to put his mind to.”
From The G-Man applauds and salutes Gino Sherman as…..a leader of tomorrow.
Note: If there’s someone that you think From The G-Man should showcase in this series, and they’re between the ages of 14 and 21, feel free to email the office at FromTheGMan@protonmail.com.
