Dov Hikind Honors His Mother, A Survivor of Auschwitz, with Video on International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Statement from Hikind, Founder of Americans Against Antisemitism

“On January 27, 1945 the notorious death camp known as Auschwitz was liberated by the Red Army. My mother survived that hell-on-earth but salvation didn’t come until her entire family had been wiped out by the Nazis. Most were gassed and cremated on the very day they arrived. In this tribute, I commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day by sharing a bit about what that was like and the stories she told me of her experiences like standing in the infamous line that decided one’s fate.
