NYS Workers’ Compensation Board Launches ‘On Board’ System

The following statement was submitted by the New York State Workers Compensation Board.

Over the past few months, you have received information about the development of our new online claims system – an effort previously referred to as the Business Information System (BIS) Project. Now, we’re excited to announce our new system’s name: OnBoard.

OnBoard will be a Better System for a Better Board – and its name represents the Board’s forward movement to new technology and increased speed and efficiency, providing a better experience and support through:

An intuitive, user-friendly system: A central point for all stakeholders to conduct business with the Board.

Paperless transactions: A clear, more efficient path to providing users with online access to the information they need, while giving injured workers the choice of paper or online submissions.

Accuracy and quality: A strong foundation for all data, communication, and workflow to support the modernization of claims processing.
