NASA Officials News Conference Following Artemis II Crew Return

C-SPAN: “So y’all, we did it. We sent four amazing people to the moon and safely returned them to Earth for the first time in more than 50 years. The generation that now knows what we’re capable of, welcome to our moonshot,” said NASA Exploration Systems Development Acting Associate Administrator Lori Glaze. Ms. Glaze joined other NASA officials, including Associate Administrator Amit Kshatriya, at a press conference at Johnson Space Center following the 8:07pm, EDT, splashdown in the Pacific Ocean of the Artemis II crew. They spoke on the success of the mission and praised the technicians and engineers who worked on the Artemis mission. The 10-day Artemis mission was the first crewed mission around the Moon since the end of the Apollo program in 1972. During the mission, the four crew members broke the record for the furthest distance from Earth ever traveled by humans.
