C-SPAN: Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell responds to a question about former President Trump suggesting he might pardon January 6 rioters, saying he would be opposed to shortening sentences of those who pled guilty. “What we saw here on January 6 was an effort to prevent a peaceful transfer of power… I would not be in favor of shortening any of the sentences for any of the people who pleaded guilty,” he says.
