According to a report in HuffPost, “Adcock was caught on video disparaging the Houston native at one of his recent concerts during a whiskey-fueled rant.” The following statement is directed at Adcock and every single person at that concert who cheered while he made his dumbass comments.
You have a problem with Beyoncé performing country music? Well, guess what? I had a major fucking problem with your boy “Johnny Rebel” when he performed country music! In fact, I would argue Rebel’s songs didn’t represent true country music and that “Cowboy Carter” is far more deserving of the title than his racist shit! Moreover, Rebel’s music is regaining popularity in not just sections of this country, but in countries that have an increasing number of white nationalist and supremacist groups.
Rebel’s “country music” conveys and spreads hate! Beyoncé’s country music conveys and spreads love! If country music legend Dolly Parton publicly praised Cowboy Carter, your comments don’t mean shit! Dude! You’re not even in Ms. Parton’s league! That said, do me a favor. Sit your sorry, whiskey-drinking ass down and listen to this bullshit! This was one of Rebel’s biggest hits.
