C-SPAN: Advocates for the Department of Education held a rally outside of the department’s headquarters in Washington, DC to oppose federal cuts and firings. Teachers, lawmakers, and organization leaders demanded the Trump administration immediately stop what they see as the tearing down of a “critical institution,” with others threatening to sue the administration. The rally comes on the heels of federal cuts to programs and firings of employees by the Trump administration and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
