Richard Haass Speaks at Wall Street Journal CEO Council Summit

C-SPAN: Richard Haass, former State Department official and president emeritus of the Council on Foreign Relations, spoke at the Wall Street Journal CEO Council Summit in Washington, D.C. He made predictions about the future of international relations, such as more turbulence and disarray among nations; a decline in U.S. influence; Ukraine not regaining all of its territory from Russia’s full-scale invasion; and China indirectly applying pressure on Taiwan. Also, Mr. Haass said the possibility of a two-state solution in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was on “life-support” amid the Israel-Hamas war, but suggested that a U.S.-Saudi initiative might help with negotiations. This report originally aired on December 12.
