He calls on Republicans to “move from their extreme positions,” saying, “Much of what they’ve proposed is simply unacceptable.” The president rules out tax breaks for the oil industry, excess payments for the pharmaceutical industry, and cuts to education. “It is time for the Republicans to accept that there is no bipartisan deal to be made solely–solely–on their partisan terms. They have to move, as well.”
