Speaker Pelosi Comments on Potential Travel to Taiwan, Assault Weapons Ban, and Other Topics

C-SPAN: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said “it’s immoral, almost criminal,” for Senate Republicans to vote against passage of the PACT Act, a bill that would expand and provide medical coverage for military veterans who have been exposed to toxins, such as those toxins emitted from burn pits. Her remarks came during her weekly briefing on Capitol Hill. The speaker, however, applauded the passage of legislation to increase domestic supply of computer chips, saying “it will be transformative.” Speaker Pelosi also expressed her confidence in the reinstatement of the assault weapons ban and answered questions on potential travel to Taiwan.
