
Alexandria, VA. – The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) joins the world in mourning the passing of Cheryl A. Hickmon, National President and Chair of the National Board of Directors of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
President Hickmon served in various leadership capacities within the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, including National President, Hartford Alumnae’s National Vice President, National Secretary, Eastern Regional Director, and South Atlantic Regional Representative, to name a few of her significant contributions.
President Hickmon received many accolades such as the 100 Most Influential African Americans in the State of Connecticut by the Connecticut Chapters of the NAACP and the Citizen of the Year Award from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (Tau Iota Chapter).
President Hickmon’s leadership has influenced hundreds of NOBLE members who are proud members of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Through her leadership, NOBLE’s “Law and Your Community® Program,” in partnership with the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, has positively impacted thousands of young people and adults across the nation.
