C-SPAN: The Senate vote was 54-35 to advance consideration of a bill to create a commission to investigate the January 6 attack on the Capitol. Sixty votes were needed to advance the bill. Only six Republicans (Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Ben Sasse, Mitt Romney, Rob Portman and Bill Cassidy) joined Democrats in voting to consider the measure.
